Guaranteed Contract Maintenance
is an alternative designed to meet the maintenance and regular needs of
companies that choose to own their equipment but prefer to contract for
maintenance. Many have found staffing and supplying their own maintenance
facilities to be operationally burdensome and costly to administer. A reliance
on outside dealerships creates untimely delays due to their limited operating
hours. In addition, companies face increasing government regulations and
enforcement of vehicle maintenance standards. As requirements become more
complex, there are fewer mechanics qualified to sustain and repair equipment.
With Salem's Guaranteed Contract Maintenance program, customers receive
the same services provided under a full service lease, but retain ownership
of their vehicles. These services include all scheduled inspections and
routine maintenance, washing , emergency road assistance, comprehensive
driver programs, licensing and permitting, fuel tax reporting, and the fuel
cost reduction program.
Several advantages of contract maintenance agreements are obvious. Our customers
benefit from the increased buying power for parts and materials and receive
just one monthly invoice for services. Dealing with only one vendor gives
our customers greater management control over expenses, resulting in lower
costs, while preventive maintenance and timely repairs reduce "down time."
